Goats of note

Trevor, the first (and most well behaved) goat to live on the farm. Trevor was hand-raised, and used to live on the Hibiscus Coast under the name of Yoda. Having outgrown his hippy phase (but remaining the gentle, laid-back buck that we all knew and loved), Trev moved to live with us. Unfortunately hampered by his seasonal bad hygiene, Trev was never as popular with visitors as our other goats, despite his friendly nature. Trev moved to Manukau to live with his new girlfriend, although has since been spotted looking for a new home, after things didn't work out.

Katie, our record-holding milk producer. Katie started producing milk a month before she kidded - the first day we milked her, she gave about 7 litres of milk. Katie never needed to be tied up for milking, and was happy to stand still, with or without food, in the paddock or on the milking stand. When she wasn't producing milk, Katie could be found sizing up fences (wistfully, after the introduction of the electric wires - indeed, she was the reason Mr Farmer fixed (and electrified) the fences by the house). Sadly Katie is no longer with us, having died of a broken heart (and old age) shortly after Trevor moved out.
